The Independent Homeworkers Alliance, the International
Homeworkers Association, intlhomeworkers.com, homeworkers.com,
athomejobs.org, telecommuting-jobs.org...different names and
different domains but they all lead to one place. Homeworkers.org,
better known as the Independent Homeworkers Alliance(IHA),
looks to be a good site with a lot to offer. Unfortunately,
during our research we came across some bad wrap concerning
this site in the past.
Take a visit to WebAssured.com, an internet business watchdog
company, and you'll notice that this company is on their watch
list with 20+ complaints filed. By reading through these complaints
it becomes clear that IHA originally carried WebAssured's
Seal of Approval, but lost it's privileges and stature as
an approved website.
You can find their negative listings under a few different
links on the WebAssured
Watch List.
It should be noted that these complaints were filed in the
late nineties. Now IHA claims to be in good standing with
the Internet Bureau of Commerce, but you'll have to dig to
find these claims as they are not posted on the homepage as
most web businesses do. Hmm?
It's a possibility that they have changed practices since
then. But we haven't gone in yet to see. This is something
we will pursue in the near future so check back here later
to read our findings. For the low monthly cost we wouldn't
be out much if they failed to live up to their claims. Feel
free to check out their website. But for now...
